Tests
- Contaminants were added to city drinking water at 10-20 times the regulated level
- Protocols were US EPA and Standard Methods for Examination of Water and Wastewater
- Microbiological reduction utilized NSF Standard 62 for protocol
Results
Microbiological Contaminants
- System demonstrated a removal efficiency of 99.99% for microbiological contaminants
- The innowave 240/270® eliminated Bacillus subtillus
- The removal of Bacillus subtillus is a recognized indicator of removal of
K. terrigena (bacteria), the Polio and Rota viruses, and Giardia and Cryptosporidium Protozoa
Inorganic Contaminants
- The innowave 240/270® reduced inorganic contaminants and metals by more than 99.9%
- Effectively removes dissolved inorganic compounds from water
- System produced a drinking water essentially free of inorganic contaminants
Organic Contaminants
- The innowave 240/270® reduces 58 contaminates by more than 99.9%
- Most of these contaminates are derived from the petrochemical industry
- Common organic contaminants includes cleaners, herbicides, pesticides and
industrial process wastes
Midwest Lab Conclusions
- The innowave 240/270® effectively removes a variety of chemical and
biological contaminants
- It should provide years of dependable service and many gallons of clean water
form a wide variety of source waters
- Testing showed the system produces drinking water of much higher quality
than the standards established by the US EPA
